Back out of line, pressure over right hip
Back out of line, pressure over right hip
Hi, if I look in the mirror I see that I am bent. I have pressure on my right hip. I tried for a while to use the basic exercises but perhaps didn't continue long enough. I have seen the osteopath a couple of times and he adjusted it. I have decided that this problem has come about because I have not been doing the exercises and looking after my back. I am 44 and am now ready to commit to rebuilding my back! Is there a sure way to align the hips and the other parts of the spine that are compensating for the shift? I am really fed up with being so stiff and immobile and would really appreciate some advice. The good news is that I am not in any pain as such. I have been doing back bends, cobra and hip shrugs. The hip shrugs are uncomfortable because of the pressure on the hip. Can anyone advise me please?
Paul,
How long have you been doing the basic exercises? I had to do them for about two weeks before I saw an undeniable trend for the better. It actually took about 4 weeks for me to be moving around pain free. As I have posted already in this forum I am now starting to experience some soreness/pain in my left hip area. This could be due to a couple of factors one of which is I felt so good I probably started exercising too hard and too fast thinking that I was totally out of the woods. I am waiting to see if simply doing the basic exercises only will help calm this episode down. I do know that Dean makes mention in his book that this is a long term rebuilding plan and it is not something you can neglect in the future. As he put it, "it is a lifestyle change". I wish you the best in this endeavor.
