New symptoms

Postby Ray » Sun Jan 22, 2006 8:27 pm

Firstly this is a great forum, and RYB is the greatest bit of info i have ever had. making very good progress with my hip and leg pains, also feelings are returning to my feet and toes after almost ten years. However, i have developed and ache in my right hip And thigh muscle and its tender to touch, also my right knee gives way on me sometimes when i am walking, my right leg just does't seem to work properly. Is there a nerve that could be causing this or is it just that the exersises have transfered the symptoms. I have only been doing the basic streching exercises for six days. Taking it very easy. Any help or sugestions would be more than welcome.

Hello Ray!

I've read your posts from last week and this most recent ... so I'm gratified to read you are making some progress.

Bill and Jeanette gave you some great advice; come back often and reread as you gain experience with the exercises. All I can add is the following:

As to the unusual, new symptoms you're experiencing, my inclination is not to worry too much about any new symptoms, unless they last for more than a few days. My wife's a great one for announcing that one of our kids is belching blue smoke, or that another's knee feels like it's full of peanut butter (such is family life). My usual response is, "well, let's wait and see how it is tomorrow" ... and that's usually the last I hear about it. (So far no family member has died from my laissez-faire approach). I've applied the same approach on myself (while using the RYB program the last 3 months to rebuild from sciatica) and have seen lots of weird (and sometimes scary) symptoms come ... and go. Which isn't to say that your right knee giving out on you might not indicate something ... I'd just watch how it goes the next few days.

Hello Ray (again)

Just realized I posted again without signing in  and wanted to identify who the "mysterious" guest is.

Please keep us posted on your progress with the program!
