1 Year Update

Post by krd » Tue Sep 11, 2007 9:28 am

OK people... I know that I have not been posting as often as I should, but I have been reading all of the posts and do check in daily to see how everyone is doing.

This is my 1 year anniversary since my epidural injections. I am constantly doing core strengthening exercises as well as Dean's RYB exercises almost every day. My back has never, and I mean never, felt better or stronger. I am playing golf 4 to 6 days a week; doing strength exercises 4 days a week; and walking with my wife and dog approximately 2 to 3 miles every day.

I want to thank you again Dean for this site and all of the encouragement that this site brings to those that suffer with back pain. Because of this site I was able to make the best decision for me to resolve my sciatica problem. I have found that exercise is the key to long term pain releif. The people that come to this forum can hear from other suffers, which is a hugh advantage when you are going through such great pain.

Remember, there is a possibility to heal yourself. Sometimes we need a little help, and the epidural was what gave me the pain releif to begin an aggressive PT session, and then to continue on until all of my pain, numbness, and tingling are a complete memory. Good luck to all of you out there, and remember... this too shall pass.

Great to read of your continued progress, Ken!

You've inspired me to make a 2 yr progress report later in the month (hopefully I can keep it shorter than book length  ). I'm making great progress in my back rebuilding project, too.

But for now ... I'd also like to thank Dean for making the website and forum available to us.

:?: Maybe others could take a minute to piggy-back on Ken's thread just to briefly report how RYB worked for them :?: I'd long wondered how Ken was doing (and am delighted to read he's out clobbering golf balls again) and wonder about many others who haven't posted in a while. I suspect there are a lot of unreported successes out there.

Thank Ken

Randolph

Hey guys,

Thanks for the update Ken.

I don't know how many success stories we'll get. The good news/bad news about a forum like this is that the successful people eventually leave and we never hear from them again.

We haven't heard from cygnet, karen, bill... and dozens of other people in such a long time, that we can only assume they've moved on with their lives. This makes me sad, but I've come to accept it as normal.

I get far more emails from people than I do forum posts. Sometimes I think I should post those emails in the Cheers section, but I don't because I figure people would just assume they weren't genuine.

I've asked a few people to post their story in the forum and sometimes they write back and say they will, but then they don't ever seem to get around to it. I guess it's just easier to send an email than to make a forum post.

Dean
