After 7 months of pure agonizing pain, my back and leg don't hurt anymore. If you read my previous posts I was on the verge and just about ready to give up. I found a great physical therapist who told me she could help me and a dr. who gave me the right combo of meds. The exercises were a combination of laying on my back with knees up, stretching, ultrasound rubs, laying on stomach with pillows under stomach, cobras if I could tolerate it pushing only till pain. The meds were medrol dosepacks, voltaren, and valium at night before bed to relax muscles around sciatic nerve. One day, about 3 weeks ago, I woke up and that nerve had stopped. No pain, no numbness, no tingling down leg, no cramping in calf !! Don't do surgery! Don't give up! Your body WILL heal itself with time!! I'm so thankful I got my life back...I just have to proceed back to it a little slower. Thanks for letting me share. Good luck to all of you still in pain!!!
