A month ago I woke up with severe neck pain. As the day progressed I noticed my left arm no longer worked. I could not lift it above shoulder height. I unfortuantely chose to go to a chiropracter..after 10 sessions and no relief I went to my primary care doctor. Sent me for xrays of shoulder and cervical spine which the chiropracter already did. Degenerative discs in C5 6 and 7 and lack of curve in cervical spine. Also had an MRI done which I will get results from when I see a spine specialist on Fri. Left arm is still not working, pain is better now after taking nabumetone and prednisone for a week. From reading on this website I see it looks like it could be weeks before things get better? Anyone have any ideas how to get the shoulder functional again? I have not downloaded any of the books yet, waiting to talk to the spine doc and get results from MRI. Also have mild scoliosis in thoracic spine. I am 56 and have been retired for a year to take care of Mom. Started working out in the gym in Jan and noticed a marked weakness in left side of body. Hoping I can get some relief.
