Soreness all day after Knee-Ups

Hi Back Builders,

I have various back pain that comes and goes, and I've decided to prevent this from now on by starting a RYB routine. I've been doing the RYB basic exercises for a couple of weeks now, and I'm confused about the results.

Whenever I do the knee-ups (or similar stretches such as forward bends or the "child's pose" in yoga), I feel very sore in my lower back and left buttock. The aching feels a bit good during the stretching, like the muscle really wanted it, but then the area aches for the rest of the day. Although the soreness is left of center, I only feel it when I pull up both knees, not either one individually. I did have some pain in this area recently (before I started the exercises).

Can anyone tell me what's going on? Is this soreness something I need to just work through or do I need to make some modification? It doesn't seem to be getting better.

Thanks for any help!

May be due to the stretch some nerve is tight or sprain. Just try walking and jogging. It may help. Try some pain relievers if the pain is more.
