I have had back problems/sciatica on and off for 2 years. Was major, but I fixed it by declining surgery and injections and changing my lifestyle instead.
I now stand at work (I have a rolling workstation, its awesome) changed how I walk (walk tall, tuck tailbone!) and learned from RYB and yoga. I now enjoy 'barefoot' running, soccer and cycling.
However, I had to sit at work for a recent project for 3 weeks, 16 hrs a day. Needless to say, it put me back to square one.
Square one was a diagnosis of 2 herniated discs and a "I can have you on the table in 5 days" from the doctor.
So I took a couple of days off. I had to do some more work though, so I put a laptop on the floor and worked from home lying down. What a revelation! I basically did the cobra for 6 hours whilst tying up the projects loose ends and it seems to have cured me....
Here's a hope story for everyone out there. Im going to set up a lying down workstation for when I can work from home.
Good luck peeps,
Tom.
