Writer’s Block 1:1

Despite my earlier post, Dr. Val has kindly agreed to forego the restraining order… at least for the time being. In return, I’ve agreed to check “him” into Rehab.
(There you go blaming me.)
(Well, it’s your fault.)
(How is it…)

And speaking of Dr. Val, she has an interesting post on the connection between allergies and cats entitled, Allergy Sufferers Should Generally Avoid Cats.

Which ties in nicely to our next entry by Dr. Rob of Musings of a Distractible Mind who also has a hair-raising (or is that fur-raising?) post about cats and allergies entitled, Love/Hate and Spit in his always-informative column, Ask Dr. Rob.

And just so you don’t think this was Pick on Kitty week…

Dr. Dino has a post on low-cost generic drugs and some advice to consider when filling your prescriptions in, What Part of Cheap is So Hard to Understand?

Moving right along…

Ami Chopine reflects on the loss of a long time family friend in, Remembering George.

MJ of Nurse Ratched’s Place has put into words how a lot of us feel concerning that terrorist doctor in Glascow, Scotland in, The Terrorist and Gossiping Nurses. And then she brightens our day and proves that chivalry isn’t dead yet in, The Good Old Boys and the Damsel in Distress.

In Smack the IVAC, Kim of Emergiblog humorously expounds on stethoscopes, a new nursing forum and obnoxious alarm sounds as only she can. And while you’re there, be sure to check out her July 2nd posts for a peek at her gorgeous family and a very compelling review, Body World’s 3: Fearfully and Wonderfully Made. That is one must see exhibit.

Finally…

Cathy has another fine line-up in her weekly column, The Friday Fives.

Change of Shift is up at Nursing Link with a bevy of posts I’m still hoping to get around to reading before the next edition comes out. (Said edition due out even as I post this.)

Grand Rounds is up at Over My Med Body and includes some interesting reviews of the movie, Sicko as well as the usual cornucopia of medical subjects.

***************

If you have something you’d like to have included in the next edition of Writer’s Block just drop me an email with a brief description and a link to your shiny new post and I’ll try to work it in.

(My email address is in the footer.)

Thanks,
Dean
