Will my foot be numb forever?

Postby mae » Wed Sep 23, 2009 9:37 pm

Hi there,

Injured my L5 S1 about 8 weeks ago. Pain resolved w/in a couple weeks but the bottom and left side of my foot are numb and I cannot stand on the ball of my foot. I have been to a sports med doc and time was his answer. Feeling may or may not come back. Has anyone been through this and come out the other side? Any idea of a timeline? Do RYB exercises deal w/ numbness issues or are they more for pain. I am seeing a PT and have a small set of exercises/stretches. She is moving me along at a slower pace right now. Any experience or words of advice are appreciated.
