spinal stenosis

Hello all,
Thank you for the interesting forum.
Just downloaded the RYB book and are hoping to getting some positive things happening.
My husband has been diagnosed with spinal stenosis which limits his walking or standing to very short time spans. He suffers severe pain and numbness in legs and buttocks.
It has been a problem for about 3 years now and like other people has been doing chiro regularly, along with 12 months of acupuncture treatment and also undertook a spinal core rebuilding prgram about 2 years ago which did not help at all in terms of the pain and numbness. However it did make him stronger.
He sees our doctor from time to time for general checkups and he refered him on to a specialist. Specialist says surgery is required and he does not want to even consider this.
My question is has anybody in this forum been able to turn around spinal stenosis.
Thanking you in advance .....
