Question for Dean

Postby Jock Willers » Tue Jan 01, 2008 11:14 am

Dean:

I like your site and attempted to donate (using credit card AA) $20. I entered all my info and submitted but never received verification. Before I try again, is there anyway you can check to see if the charge went through?

The transaction date is today's date.

Thanks

Hi Jock,

Thanks for your interest in supporting the site.

Hard to say what the problem is.

In the past some have had their cards rejected - not because they entered the wrong number - but because of a typo entering some other info like the name or the expiration date ... or they put spaces between the numbers instead of entering a continuous string.

If your card had been charged you and I both would have immediately received a receipt from PayPal. I don't see one in my records... so even though it appeared to take your info it probably never completed the action. You would have had at least one more screen to confirm the donation before it would actually process it.

Let me know if you continue to have problems,
Dean
