pinched nerve & knee pain?

Postby Dori » Wed Oct 24, 2007 7:24 pm

My husband twisted/lifted wrong 3 weeks ago. He has had terrible knee pain along with back & hip pain on on the left side. Back & knee x-rays, MRI & nerve conduction study all showed nothing except a little degenerative desease. Although we guess he has a hidden pinched nerve, we really don't know whats wrong. His Dr. said to rest, the nerve con. Dr. said not to rest & to start physical therapy. Please let me know if anyone has had this pain in the knee..I haven't found anything on the net about knee pain. By the way, I'm new to this site & I'm glad I found it...everyone is so nice. Also, I ordered Deans books & will print them tomorrow.
Thanks for any info I can get.

update: in case anyone has this horrible pain in the knee..I wanted to let you know what the therapist thought. She thinks the muscles are so tight that it's stretching the knee ligaments. So the back pain is causing him to walk wrong which is causing the tightness & pain. Of coruse, this is just another guess. I really think there is more because everything is on one side like sciatica, but they think the nerves are all fine.
