cramped foot

Postby Tecoman » Mon Jul 02, 2007 6:09 am

hi can you help me. i have a L 5/S1 mild prosterior buldge asymmetric to the left S1 nerve root.
And L4/5 broadbased left posterior disc buldge which slightly abuts onto L5 nerve root.
my problem i have is when climbing Ladders or walkn up or down steps or just walking or standing sometimes i get a very bad tight cramp in arch of left foot and sometimes in the left buttock and abit of achey pain running down left side of spine into the tail bone from lower lumber.
i never get any shooting pain down the back leg or buttock.
My Question has any one else ever had this problem or heard of it happening[/b]

Hi Tecoman

Yes, I recognize those cramps as one of the wonderful symptoms of my sciatica. Whenever that arch-cramp did happen, it seemed to help to flex the ankle thru it's whole range of motion, until the cramp stopped. Long-range, the pain become a more and more infrequent occurence as I did my exercises daily.
