I have been told by physiotherapists that I have a physical problem with not having any movement at my waist which affects my back problem, in other words I cannot bend inwards and my back is completely straight down, has anyone else got this problem?? In Dean's book I cannot decide whether I have a pelvic tilt forward or backword, any help ??thank you.

Hi nuls,

If your spine is straight, you have a backward pelvic tilt.

Look at the illustration Dean provides at the front of the book showing what is considered normal posture and note the gentle curve of the lower back.

To help you regain that natural curvature, focus on exercises that stretch your hamstrings, buttocks and even calves.

Hope this helps,
