Muscle atrophy-Multifidus

I just learned that I my multifidus are atrophied. Anyone been through that? I am working with an excellent physio on this matter, but I am curious to know someone else's experience. Please feel free to share with me.

What kind of exercises are you doing to strengthen the atrophied multifidus?

Hi,

Right now I only have one exercises to do for the multifidus and one for the transverse abdominis.

Multifidus: Really hard to explain but.... here is it: I put my thumb on L5-S1 to feel the muscle underneath. I must focus really hard and picture that I have a rope from my thumb to another finger (placed lower on my butt) and I must shorten that rope by squeazing the muscle). I do this 10 times 10 seconds 2-3 times a day.

I also have the tranverse exercises which is working great, I had a 25% improvement last week!

Do you know any exercises for the multifidus?
