Herniated Disc's don't heal!!!

I don't know what planet you come from but I have herniated disc's for 10 years now and sure it got better after the time of injury (3 to 4 months) and I can do hard physical work but I'm telling you my back continues to remain sore and has recovered to only 70% of it's former function. Having an athletic physique and being quite flexible (injury occured in the gym while doing squats) hasn't help heal the damaged disc. After physical work my back gets worst and then slowly recovers to a mild dull pain. I can guarante you it doesn't just go away and yes I got physio to help repair my lower back. Proper exercises may alleviate the discomfort but the disc damage never recovers. Maybe in another 30 years I can tell you that you were right all along, by then the amount of normal shrinkage that occurs through old age may wither the damage away!!
On the positive, for people seeking advise, in my situation I lead a normal and productive life, don't need pain killers or any therapy for my back but
I do carry a continued reminder that my back will never be 100% normal.

Hi Siggy,

Thanks for your expert opinion.

By the way, at the bottom of this article: Herniated Discs Don't Require Surgery there is what we on planet Earth call a Bibliography. (It may have a different name in your solar system.)

It is a list of scientific studies done over the last 20 years proving that herniated discs do heal.

But don't let that trouble you. You just enjoy your back pain while you admire your physique in the mirror.
