Hey Everybody! Ok, it's been roughly 6 months since my injury and I still have to say that this is theeee best thing I've done for myself regarding my physical well being. Again Dean, and all of you that post here, thank you. Even when I'd re-strained things back in July, I was pain free in about 2 ...

Re: Does anyone know about NUCCA?
Hello there, I'm new on here having found the site through a google search. I've had a bad back for 20 years after a bulged disc (L5) and then having an epidural. I've tried many things over the years with no real, lasting benefits. I've recently been told about NUCCA (National Upper Cervical Chiro...

Re: Question for Dean re: strengthening exercises
By the way, for anyone who's entered the "advanced" stage of recovery and is looking for challenging exercises to add to the RYB program, I recommend you google Hindu Squats and Hindu Pushups. I've added them to my routine, and I feel they're excellent at hitting both the core and the arms and legs...

Hey Yannick, One of the guys we play tennis with just had a shot of something in his back a couple weeks ago. I wonder if its the same thing. I was told it did good things for him, but I'll find out just what he had done. I think that my back would have to be really messed up before I'd have anybody...

Hey Yannick, Yep... my back cracks, too. Some days more than others. And it does feel good. I wouldn't even know how to stop it from happening. I know you've taken a beating from the chiro, but I think you'll find that you'll be able to recover quite well from that. The human body is an amazing thin...

In all honesty Shrike, I think we have the best PT's right here. Where else can you learn what works, what don't, AND be in contact with with so many folks with similar issues?? Not any one Doctor, that is certain. We're talking Physical tharapy, right? I didn't start to mend until I took resposibil...

:? Yeah, I know better...or should. I do walk. I like to walk. A 5 mile walk would probably kill me... I've packed on a few extra lbs. The problem with an eliptical machine is it just takes up too much space. I've never been on one, though. Maybe I should hit the Y and give it a try... and then mayb...

Re: Knee - Ups
...I started doing the basic exercises yesterday and everything is great except the Knee ups. What are they supposed to do? Am I not doing them right? Is there a different exercise that will work the same muscles? Hey Chort, I feel these tend to stretch the back part of my hip... almost into my but...

Hi Thealia! That has got to hurt. A friend of mine fractured (I think) his tailbone some time ago. We use to fly alot together... and he always brought this slab of wood to sit on. He sat on it in his car and brought the dang thing everywhere he went. Now, I used to give him alot of crap for it but ...

Hey Chort, Yeah! sounds like you're making good progress! It's great to feel great again! A few weeks ago I went on a golf weekend thing with a bunch of co-workers. Wasn't too smart, I'll tell ya. I hurt pretty good for a few days. But my back is back! And, of course, I want to do it all again... .....
