Dean I was re-examining the MIR and the disk is not completely dried out. What exactly happens when a disk is restored? Will it regain lost thickness? Will the anulus fibrosus and nucleus be structurally sound again? Can Glucosamine and Chondroitin Sulfate help restore the disk? I guess my question ...

Hi John, It depends on how dessicated the disk is. If it's totally dried out and none of the nucleus is left there isn't anything you can do to restore it. That doesn't mean the disk will cause you pain. Only that it is beyond restoring. Dean Dean Thanks for the reply. I am not sure if the disk is ...

Disk degerneration - how much is too much to fix?

Hi I have degenerative disc disease at the L5-L6 level. Yes I also have a transitional vertebra. I noticed that Dean believes that a degenerated disk condition can be reversed if caught soon enough. The level of degeneration for me is moderately severe. The disk is less than half the hight of the ot...

randolph Thanks for the input. I have looked through this site a fair amount and have posted some questions. I guess that I am still not convinced that Dean's book is what I need. I currently am waiting for the results of a mri, and should know better what is wrong with my back soon. At that time I ...

book preview

Hi I've been told to check out the rebuild your back book but all I can find is the location to purchase the book - I know its called a donation but a forced donation is a required payment. That being said I am very hesitant to pay for something site unseen. I don't make enough money that I can drop...

Re: John

Bill Take note of the tops of your shoulders left to right. Are they on the same horizontal plane? (i.e. level?). My SI has shifted again there by giving me a chance to check the level of my shoulder and pelvis. You are correct when you said that the shoulder and the pelvis may be low on the same si...

Re: John

Bill P Thank you for the time you spent replying to my post. Do you know whether or not your leg length discrepancy is a Structural or Functional discrepancy? It is mostly Functional discrepancy with a possible structural difference of 2mm. The first heal lift I was given was about 12mm. I have stop...

Rehabilitation time for damaged SI joint

Hi I just found this forum and really appreciate all of the information. I damaged my SI joint over a year ago. I took my time going to the doctor because the pain was getting less, however about a 14 months after I damaged the joint I started having numbness in my foot. The Dr found that I had a mo...
