Re: chiropractors are sh@tstains

going to a chiropractor to crack your bad back is like going to a gas station attentant and getting him to sprinkle gas over a bad burn and ignite it. Kind of obnoxious aren't you? (Comments deleted by Admin) (Note added by Admin) Jim, I understand and empathize with your anger ... considering the ...

thanks to Steven and Dr. Will for your input. the blueprint for a bad back sounds like me. as far as any disc problems, i've had an x-ray done and no signs of any disc problems. as far as scoliosis(sp) i don't know. maybe i'll say something to my doctor the next time i see him. again, thanks for th...

my doctor told me that there was nothing that can be done about the pain. it happens without warning. mostly, all i've done was just bend over (like tying my shoes) and next thing i know, BAM! pain. my job at the time was standing in one place on concrete with only a thin (1-1 1/2") piece of rubber...

i can't say that it is an envirionmental thing, but usually once a year i get an "attack". i work in a refrigerated and damp processing plant. i was told that maybe the cold and damp conditions may be a contributing factor. maybe it's just my luck?! :) thanks for your input Dr.Will !! Hey Barb - I ...

If I may interject into this story for a moment - The only question being raised by the newspaper article is the advertising tactics these chiros were using. There has been a tremendous amount of recent talk in the decomp industry about what is acceptable advertising and what is not. Advertising law...

Hey Randolph - I would agree, much of the supplements people routinely take end up in the waste treatment plant. I have seen the documentaries showing mountains of non-dissolved vitamin supplements which end up in rivers, streams, and water treatment plants. I think the question comes down to the qu...

jblunt - There has been a lot of talk on these forums about (non-surgical) spinal decompression. Some for it, some against it. Do a search and read/decide for yourself if you want to give it a shot. The owner of this website, Dean, has an article and some links about it on the front page. His views ...

I have also never heard of the LEARN diet - but Dean Ornish, MD is HUGE. Do a webmd search for him, tons of books and literature about his programs.

Dean, Sounds interesting - hope your experiment yields you the results you are looking for. The topic of protein reminded me of this - did you see the recent JAMA article comparing the effectiveness of 4 different popular diets? Funny enough, the Atkins no/low carb diet reigned supreme. The conventi...

I take a whole food supplement called JuicePlus, also fish oil for omega-3 source and a b-complex. I noticed a greater sense of energy after starting the JuicePlus, if just subtly.

Dean, what is the amino supposed to help with?

Re: Mid/Upper Back and chest pain

For about the past 12 months I have been getting aches in my mid to upper back just between my shoulder blades. The pain also radiates around to the front, often to just above the strenum at the front. When I sneeze, the pain level increases. Sleeping is also quite uncomfortable. In the last year, ...
